We have successfully completed hundreds of searches for Fortune 500 corporations as well as small, local firms, who need top talent.
Experienced Management
When it comes to finding the very best sales and marketing talent in the marketplace, our President and Founder, Peter C. Cotton, operates on the premise of "it takes one to know one." He was an award winning sales representative and sales manager for a Fortune 500 company prior to opening the Rhode Island office of Sales Consultants. Cotton has been operating his office for more than thirty-three years. He is a member of the MRI Ring of Honor. Less than 10% of all MRI owners are among this elite group.
Cotton served two consecutive terms as the Sales Consultants Eastern Regional Representative, and also co-authored a book for the American Management Association entitled: "How To Be An Effective Sales Manager." One of the first three owner-managers in the 1,100 office MRI network to become a Million Dollar Hall of Fame producer, he has helped companies large and small alike reach their sales goals. He has also helped countless candidates advance their careers. Each of our clients and candidates benefits from his personal, proactive, honest approach to the business. Cotton's unique style is the driving force for the success of his office.

Recruiting For A Cause
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
History of Rhode Island Chapter:
On December 27, 1991, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Rhode Island (the corporation) was duly called to order at One Park Row, Providence, Rhode Island. A year prior to that day, Peter C. Cotton, President of MRI-Sales Consultants of Rhode Island, attended a black tie event in Cleveland, held by his parent company, MRI. During the event, he viewed a Make-A-Wish video, found out about the mission and was inspired.
A call into the National Office to make a donation turned into how he could start a chapter in Rhode Island. The National Office explained the full process to Peter: how to apply for chapter status, how to set up a 501 (C) (3), and the need to recruit volunteers. It took Peter only forty-five minutes to recruit legal and accounting representatives and one and a half days to recruit eighteen leadership volunteers. He went on to enlist scores of volunteers. The Rhode Island Chapter began to meet in Warwick to begin a yearlong process from provisional to full chapter status. The startup of the chapter was the fastest in the history of the national organization. It was no surprise that Peter, as the founding father, was voted as the first President of the Board and the Acting Executive Director. “It was a labor of love,” says Peter.
As a result of his work with Make-A-Wish, Cotton was recognized for outstanding community service by Presidents Bush (1992) and Clinton (1993). He is a recipient of J.C. Penney's Golden Rule Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Community Service (Winning Finalist of 120 nominated in Rhode Island). He was also featured in the book Remarkable People, by Stephan Brigidi, as one of 100 Rhode Islanders who have made a significant difference in their communities, in the lives of others, and in the world at large.
